Reservoir Police is the law enforcement agency within the Pearl River Valley Water Supply District. The department is made up of academy trained, Mississippi-certified law enforcement officers which are on duty 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our officers are well-rounded professional officers who, in addition to the state Law Enforcement certification, may hold additional certifications in areas such as open water diver, advanced open water diver, public safety diver, police firearms instructor, Boating Safety Instructor, etc. Reservoir Police have the daily responsibility of ensuring the safety of each citizen that visits any of the public areas of the Barnett Reservoir as well as protecting the assets of the Pearl River Valley Water Supply District. The Reservoir Police operates the Marine Police Division, which is capable of responding on water at any hour of the day, any time of the year. District campground managers and assistant managers are also Reservoir Police Officers and are permanently deployed in the campgrounds to handle any issues should they arise.
